The XPM 78 CAT is Hull #2 of this Luxury Explorer Catamaran.   Built by experience shipbuilders, who integrate Design, Engineering and Bespoke Custom Fabrication all under one roof.  The XPM 78 CAT is a truly unique Aluminum Power Catamaran designed for Extended Missions.

Saloon has been specifically designed by keeping her outstanding stability performance, with a nice look. Saloon height and inner volumes height have been also raised.  In the saloon, the ceiling is an impressive 16 ft high and it has an inside balcony with a panoramic view in the saloon.

Mechanical Detail

Diesel Engines:
JOHN DEERE 425HP x 2 diesel engines and Twin Disc Gear box. This configuration gives better performance and extra safety. JD Engines have worldwide service network, easy to find spare parts and are known as low maintenance engines. The cruise speed is 9 knots and Maximum speed of the vessel is 14 Knots. 

Parallel Hybrid Propulsion (Optional): 50kw x 2 e-motors + 200 kwh Lithium batteries controlled by an electro mechanical clutch. E-Motors work as a genset while diesel engines are running. 28 nautical miles range on electric motors at 7 knots. No smell, ne exhaust, no noise, fuel efficiency, fuel saving, free access to extra sensitive and protected environments and many other features. 

Solar Power: 50 sqm solar panel area which generates 12,5 kw/hour. If considered as 6 hours of efficient sunlight in a day; the solar panels generate 75 kw/day which is not only enough for house load but also enough to load the Lithium batteries. 

4 Cabins Layout: 2 Master Cabins + 2 VIP Cabins+ 1 Crew Cabin Enormous Areas in Saloon and the Aft Deck: Saloon has been specifically designed by keeping her outstanding stability performance and nice look. Saloon height and inner volumes height have been also raised. In the saloon, the ceiling is 5 mt. (16 ft.) high and it has an inside balcony with a panoramic view in the saloon. There is a huge aft deck area and two swim platforms where you can enjoy your time with your family and friends. 

Steering System: Wills Ridley Brand from U.K. has been applied. Independent rudder control for dynamic positioning system accuracy and maneuverability. An easy valve operation for keeping rudders in sync while using manual helm pump. Both pumps and cylinders have back-up for safety.

Dynamic Positioning System (Optional):
Two independent rudder control systems, larger bow thruster and the control unit makes the boat positioned in the same position without anchor. Another innovative system on XPM boats.
